Training Needs Analysis

Need to know what training will help you meet your targets? Harbrook offer a service to help you assess your training needs and prepare an agreed plan to ensure the needs of individual employees and IT strategies are met and at your convenience.

Harbrook believe that the training needs of your staff should be assessed in the context of your companies' IT plans and training delivered which covers their specific needs. This is a more efficient approach to training a group of people and the level of benefit/time far outweighs that of a pre-constructed "one size fits all" program.

Stage 1

The first stage is to understand what your business is, the market in which you operate and what you need to achieve as a result of the training.

The understanding gained here will help to set the project objectives.

Stage 2

It is important for us to understand what solutions or technology areas your company is embracing, what new products have been purchased or are planned for purchase in the near future and what the timescales are and relative importance to your IT plan?

The existing network infrastructure and future plans will dictate the areas of discipline on which to focus the training.

Stage 3

Getting to know the structure of the IT department and roles and responsibilities of existing resources enables us to understand if your workforce possesses the skills/knowledge required to integrate and support existing technology as well as any new developments.

A top level overview helps provide the framework for the training plan and an understanding of how many staff need training and in which particular areas to meet the set objectives.

Stage 4

Successful training happens as a result of understanding individuals requirements, this is one of the major benefits of a bespoke training programme. We therefore compile information from understanding what individuals' specific areas of interest are, preferred timings and locations.

Stage 5

A highly tailored training plan is then assembled to accommodate both the needs of the company and its employees. Recommendations are presented along with costs.

Stage 6

Together we determine what criteria will measure the success of the training plan; whether it is cost savings, increased customer satisfaction or a production increase.

Once the training recommendations have been agreed the training is put in place to achieve the project objectives that were set out in stage one.
